Bodog.com Sportsbooks, one of the leading online Sports Betting Companies have released the 2010 Sports Betting Futures, including the betting odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl XLV.
For the novice sports bettors, Sports Betting Futures are predicting the “future” of certain championships such as the Super Bowl. Bodog has posted betting odds on all of the 32 NFL teams.
These betting odds will change as we get closer to the start of the NFL season. An injury, a trade, or a significant free agent signing may change the odds.
For the upcoming season, this year is not the norm as there is no prohibitive favorite. Currently, Bodog has the betting odds on the Saints and the Colts the lowest at 9:1. If you would bet $100 on either of those two teams and they would win the Super Bowl you would win $900.
It’s not a surprise to see New Orleans and Indianapolis favored as those two teams appeared in last year’s big event with the Saints bringing the Lombardi trophy back to the Big Easy. The Saints defeated the Colts 31-17. 먹튀검증
Right behind those two teams, Bodog has the betting odds on the New York Jets at 10:1. The Jets were the surprise team last year as they advanced to the AFC Championship game, losing to the Colts. The Jets have improved now that QB Sanchez will have one full year of experience and the New Yorkers gave him another weapon to throw to when they brought in Santonio Holmes. If the Jets can improve their offense to compliment their great defense they could be playing in the Super Bowl.
Right behind the Jets are the Chargers (11:1 odds), the Patriots (12:1 odds), and the Cowboys (12:1 odds). All three of these teams have big public followings so they should draw significant future betting wagering.
Which teams do Bodog believe have no chance of playing in the Super Bowl. Three teams have current betting odds at a whopping 100:1 odds. Can you name them?
If you guessed the St. Louis Rams, the Cleveland Browns, and the Tampa Bay Bucs you’re correct. St. Louis and Cleveland weren’t big surprises but one might not have guessed the Bucs. It’s been only 8 years ago, in 2002, when the Bucs coached by Jon Gruden beat the Oakland Raiders 48-21 to win Super Bowl XXXVII. Boy how they’ve gone downhill since!
